UPDATE: the ornaments have all been taken from the tree, but there is still a lot to do!! If you’d like to help, here are some things we are still in need of….

  1. Eve has offered to get bunk beds, mattresses & coordinating bedding for the family all sharing a mattress in a bedroom. That will give them each their own bed!! She is in need of a truck / trailer THIS SATURDAY (December 19) to pick it up. If you are willing to let her & her husband borrow yours, let me know & I’ll get you her contact info. If you would like to DONATE money toward this gift, you can get it to either myself, Jaren or Eve. Anything would be appreciated!!
  2. The ornaments from the tree will provide each child with 1 shirt, 1 pair of pants, socks & undies, 1 pair of pajamas & 1 toy / gift. If you can provide anything else, even additional clothing & toys, write your name in the binder on the name of the child you will provide something for.
  3. Stockings filled with simple items (from the dollar store) would seem like a lot to kids who have nothing.
  4. Christmas Dinner / Breakfast
  5. The mom of Family 1 is in need of dental work. She went into the school to drop something off and her whole face / cheek was swollen from an abscessed tooth. She doesn’t have the money to pay for it to be taken care of, so she is just dealing with it. I have been ensured that anything given to them will be spent on her children’s needs & not misused in any way. She currently has several jobs & is a very caring & hard working mom.

Please RSVP ASAP!! I need to know how many people to plan on for dessert ūüôā Bring any extra wrapping supplies you have that night. I want to THANK YOU in advance for the concern,¬†generosity & love you have already shown. If the only things these families receive are¬†the items from the tree ornaments, I know their Christmas will be a miracle. What an incredible¬†CrossFit family we have!!
